A Continuing Saga...

Have you read the first two stories in the Miscorrection series, Sunrise and Arrogation . If so, I greatly appreciate it and would love your feedback. The first two stories went rather quickly and I am currently writing the third story in the series. This one is taking a lot longer than the other two for a number of reasons. First, I'm busy. Everyday life and responsibilities crowd out the opportunities to write. My typical writing time is early in the morning, but because I am so busy, I tend to take any extra time I have in the morning to relax before my day starts. While I enjoy writing, it is work. I never realized how difficult it could be to try and create a world, characters, and plots. This leads me to the other reason the third story is taking longer. With this third story, I've made it more complex. There are more metaphorical meanings behind things that take place and are described. There is also a lot of foreshadowing because I am setting up what is to happen thro

"Lost" Series Finale Explained

Here I am writing a final blog post about what happened on Lost. Many are no doubt debating, not what happened during the show, but what was shown during the final minutes of the show. While I am not a writer or creator of Lost, I feel I have solved this one last mystery. After watching the finale, I pondered in my head what it all meant in the ending, and here is what I concluded. Going back to the finale of season 5, we saw Juliet blow up the bomb. The idea was that blowing up that bomb would change their lives. The island would be gone and the plane never would have crashed. Well, it worked, but just not how we thought. At the time the bomb was blown up, all our characters were pushed back to what can be called "current island time". Everyone assumes that this time coincides with the time in the flash sideways, flashbacks, and flashforwards. But it doesn't. The island is on its own time. So all the events we saw on the island this season did take place. The quest of sm

The Story Continues...

I have actually been writing my story! Here I thought I would start off fast and slow down quick until I wasn't doing it anymore. But I take a little bit of time each day, about 30 minutes, to write. Some days I don't write at all, but I'm not letting this get in the way of me writing my story.   I am currently writing what I call Season 1 Story 1, or in other words...I'm right at the beginning of my tale. Once I get 2-3 stories under my belt I plan to put them up on Amazon for digital download. I'm expecting to write 3 total seasons, each with 6 stories. That could change over time if I find that is too constrained and I need more room to tell my story. It could even be made smaller. Only time will tell.   While it seems kind of crazy, I am going to have cover art made for each season of my stories. I hear you! "A digital download book that needs cover art?" But I do need it. One of my coworkers has offered to do this for me. He's pretty talented, so

The Stories

Ok. I'm doing it. I finally started by book. Well...it's not really a book. I do have a large story I am going to tell, but I'm going to tell it in pieces. Imagine a TV show. Many of them today have a main plot that is told over the course of each episode. My plan is to tell my large story in the form of short stories. When all these short stories are brought together the main plot is told.   I'm not a writer. I don't have any college degree in writing. I'm just a high school graduate working at a print shop. But this story has been kicking around in my head for somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 years. And I decided, why not. Why not tell the story. So I have begun the writing.   Now that I've begun, hopefully I can finish. That will be the hardest task. Life is busy, so finding the time to write will be difficult. I'm usually up early in the morning, so that's when I plan to write. If I'm too tired, I won't. But if I can take at least 30 mi
