Have you read the first two stories in the Miscorrection series, Sunrise and Arrogation. If so, I greatly appreciate it and would love your feedback.
The first two stories went rather quickly and I am currently writing the third story in the series. This one is taking a lot longer than the other two for a number of reasons.
First, I'm busy. Everyday life and responsibilities crowd out the opportunities to write. My typical writing time is early in the morning, but because I am so busy, I tend to take any extra time I have in the morning to relax before my day starts. While I enjoy writing, it is work. I never realized how difficult it could be to try and create a world, characters, and plots. This leads me to the other reason the third story is taking longer.
With this third story, I've made it more complex. There are more metaphorical meanings behind things that take place and are described. There is also a lot of foreshadowing because I am setting up what is to happen throughout stories four through six. As I'm writing, I have put pressure on myself to do it to the best of my ability. And at the same time, I need to make sure nothing that is revealed contradicts with what is already written or will be written.
It's a lot of work, but in the end, I definitely feel that the third story will be the best. However, that is all left up to interpretation because while I will understand the purpose of this pivotal story in the series, readers may not. My one fear with this third story is that I will really like it, but no one else who reads it will. Only time will tell.
Thanks for your support! And if you haven't read either of the stories that have been released, below is a link for your free copy of the first story Sunrise.
