Details On The Next Miscorrection Release

[caption id="attachment_1330" align="aligncenter" width="294" caption="Cover Photo © Stephen De Las Heras /"][/caption]

The time is upon us. The next novelette of book one of the Miscorrection series will be releasing next week.

First and foremost, you can see the cover art for the ebook above. The photo used in the cover is by Stephen De Las Heras and it was available for free on I made some slight modifications to the artwork, including giving the chair a brown tint and adding the pencil sketch look to it that I've done with all the other Miscorrection covers.

Next, here are details on the release:

  • The official title is Awry

  • The official release date is June 3, 2011 (unofficially it could be available as early as June 1, 2011)

  • Next week I will post an excerpt from the book

  • The ebook will cost 1 Taco

For anyone who bought Panacea, all the above information, except point four, isn't new to you. But the excerpt for Awry at the end of Panacea is in its raw form. Which means, only I laid eyes on it and it had not been proofread or edited by anyone but myself. The final introduction for Awry is slightly different in style, but still tells the same basic story.

And now the fun part. The other week, I posted how I will be pricing everything in a currency of Tacos. Give that post a read so you know where I'm coming from. As part of the promotion for Awry, I have decided to eat a taco for every sale the ebook gets during the first week of release, up to June 9, 2011 at 11:59 P.M. After the week is complete, I will post on YouTube and possibly stream live, me eating each taco. Long story short, I hope I'm overwhelmed with tacos and you get some extra entertainment out of watching me eat them.

So what do you think? Do you like the cover? Do you like the price? Do you want to see me eat tacos? Sound off in the comments with your thoughts!

How to Make a Face Mask

The United States' president and some governors are now recommending people wear a face mask to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. They're also asking that the N95 masks be reserved for healthcare workers as they help those who are suffering from the virus.

In light of this, you might be wondering if you can make one yourself?

In the video below, my wife demonstrates how to make a reusable face mask for you and your family. Though this won't guarantee prevention of the spread of the virus, it is in line with what we're being asked. Every little bit can help!

Quaratined or Stuck at Home? Here are some free books.

The global crisis regarding the COVID-19 virus (or coronavirus) is affecting anyone and everyone. Whether you get the virus or not, in some way, our lives are being impacted. Schools are closed. Parties discouraged. Social distancing encouraged. Entire countries in lockdown. Toilet paper being bought up like it's gold. The list goes on and on.

Pretty stressful stuff for sure. Something out of a movie or book. Something none of us have ever experienced to the point that it might be surreal.

You probably find yourself stuck at home right now, looking for something to do. Netflix, Disney+, video games, books. Those are probably keeping everybody company.

I'd like to give you something to occupy your time while you wait this thing out. So, starting today until the end of the month (or possibly longer depending how all of this goes), you can read any of my books at no cost. This option is available through the Smashwords website using the coupon code listed below. (This coupon cod…
